Dodge Pitman Arm
This notice is posted in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Fabtech has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Pitman Arms for 2003-2008 Dodge 2500 and 3500 4WD and 1500 Mega Cab 4WD vehicles.
Why a recall is being conducted-
This pitman arm sold in suspension systems and as replacement equipment for use on certain 2003-2008 Dodge 2500 4WD, 3500 4WD and 1500 Mega Cab 4WD vehicles may contain a defect causing it to break away from the steering box. This will result in a total loss of steering control without prior warning. Steering loss could result in a vehicle crash possibly resulting in property damage, injury or death.
What Fabtech is doing about the problem-
Fabtech will supply a new replacement pitman arm to you at no charge.
What you should do-
Contact Fabtech directly at 877-432-2832. Fabtech has established selected Authorized Installers to process your vehicle. They will inspect your vehicle free of charge to identify if your vehicle has the pitman arm involved in this recall. If your vehicle has the pitman arm described in this recall it will be replaced at no charge to you. Contact Fabtech for an Authorized Installer in your area at 877-432-2832.
